How to compress an image below 20 KB
SDSC SHAR recruitment documents a 20 KB maximum for signature images, with a separate maximum of 200 by 50 pixels. That is a real use, not a generic photo limit.
Step 2: Adjust settings for 20 KB
Prepare the signature's shape before compression; the tool does not crop or certify the application. Verify both final pixels and file size, and reject results with broken lines.
If you enter a width or height, use Resize and compress and keep Keep aspect ratio checked to avoid stretching. Resize only does not enforce a file-size limit.
Step 3: Verify the download
Select the compress button, inspect the before-and-after previews and check the output size and dimensions. Download only after the size verifies below 20 KB and the image still looks suitable.
