Step 1: Check the size and format
The tool above is preselected to 100 KB. Choose one JPEG, PNG or WebP image from your device. If a service specifies JPG or another supported type, use the Output format control to match it.
Private exact-size compression
Use this page to make an image fit under, below, less than, up to or maximum 100 KB. It is useful for document uploads, profile images and email attachments when you need a specific target size without sending the image to a server.
Private image compressor
Choose one image, set the limit, and download a verified result. Your original is never changed.
Use this only when a form requires your image to be between two file sizes.
Resize image
Enter a width, a height, or both. No crop or fill is applied in this step.
Choose an image to preview planned dimensions.
Aspect ratio is off. Exact width and height may distort the image.
Selected image
Checking the image safely in your browser.
Verified result
Safely below your selected limit.
The downloaded file was created and verified entirely in this browser.
Instructions for this target
A small profile photo or document thumbnail may be prepared under 100 KB for an application with a tight image-upload maximum.
The tool above is preselected to 100 KB. Choose one JPEG, PNG or WebP image from your device. If a service specifies JPG or another supported type, use the Output format control to match it.
Start with an appropriate width and JPEG for a photo, then verify. A maximum is not a minimum: a result comfortably below 100 KB is normally preferable to a degraded attempt to reach exactly 100 KB.
If you enter a width or height, use Resize and compress and keep Keep aspect ratio checked to avoid stretching. Resize only does not enforce a file-size limit.
Select the compress button, inspect the before-and-after previews and check the output size and dimensions. Download only after the size verifies below 100 KB and the image still looks suitable.
A file-size pass does not mean it meets every third-party image requirement.
The use case above illustrates what someone might do with a 100 KB budget. It is not a claim that any named organisation requires this exact limit. Check your receiving service's published maximum, accepted format and required dimensions.
Nearby exact sizes
Medium KB targets often balance acceptable visual quality with common upload limits. The workbench keeps the selected target editable if you need a nearby exact size.
