How to compress an image below 250 KB
Discord requires custom emoji images smaller than 256 KB. A 250 KB target leaves a modest safety margin; Discord does not specify 250 KB exactly.
Step 2: Adjust settings for 250 KB
Use a simple, legible image and the accepted output format. Discord has separate emoji-size and display guidance, and the compressor does not automatically crop to 128 by 128.
If you enter a width or height, use Resize and compress and keep Keep aspect ratio checked to avoid stretching. Resize only does not enforce a file-size limit.
