Instructions for this target

How to compress an image below 75 KB

A small support-ticket image or thumbnail can be prepared under a deliberately modest 75 KB allowance, provided it remains understandable.

Step 1: Check the size and format

The tool above is preselected to 75 KB. Choose one JPEG, PNG or WebP image from your device. If a service specifies JPG or another supported type, use the Output format control to match it.

Step 2: Adjust settings for 75 KB

For screenshots with writing, compare PNG and WebP if the recipient accepts them. Do not reduce screenshot dimensions until essential labels become unreadable.

If you enter a width or height, use Resize and compress and keep Keep aspect ratio checked to avoid stretching. Resize only does not enforce a file-size limit.

Step 3: Verify the download

Select the compress button, inspect the before-and-after previews and check the output size and dimensions. Download only after the size verifies below 75 KB and the image still looks suitable.

A file-size pass does not mean it meets every third-party image requirement.

About this example

The use case above illustrates what someone might do with a 75 KB budget. It is not a claim that any named organisation requires this exact limit. Check your receiving service's published maximum, accepted format and required dimensions.
